CHAK WAI LEUNG 翟偉良

Born in Dongguan, Guandong Province, China in 1942. He began studying art photography in 1964 with Master S. F. Dan who taught in an adult further education institute. In 1959, Mr. W. L. Chak joined the civil service of the Hong Kong Government. He retired from public service in 1993 for which he had served for over thirty-three years. Mr. Chak was awarded a Certificate of Long and Meritorious Service and a gold pin in 1990 as well as Long Service Travel Award in 1992. He has been an international salon judge, examination judge and honorable adviser for numerous photographic associations in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. He was a contributor to photographic magazines and newspapers and a tutor for institutes of art photography.

LAU CHING PING 劉清平

Lives in Hong Kong. He studied design and photography in HK Polytechnic.He has held solo shows and participated in numerous group shows in Hong Kong, China, Taipei, Tokyo and New York. Lau was the co-editor of NuNaHeDuo (Dislocaation) journal of photography. His works have been acquired by Hong Kong Heritage Museum and Guangdong Museum of art, Guangzhou China.

Vincent Yu

Vincent Yu has been a photographer with the Associated Press in Hong Kong for 20 years. He has covered major local and international stories including the 2004,2008 Olympic Games, the Asian Tsunami disaster as well as numerous important news events in the Asia Pacific region.
Many of his photos have been recognized with awards from the Hong Kong Press Photographers Association. He was a recipient of the U.S. National Headliner Awards in 2004. His works have also been shown in exhibitions in Hong Kong, mainland China, Hawaii, and Berlin. He has acted as a guest lecturer on photojournalism at the University of Hong Kong

Paul Yeung

Born in 1978 in Hong Kong, Paul Yeung graduated from MA in Image and Communication (Photography) at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2011. Yeung worked at different publications and agency such as Reuters as photojournalist for 10 years after graduated from BA in Journalism and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2000. He had received numerous awards presented by The Newspaper Society of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Press Photographers Association and was selected as one of the Fourteen “Hong Kong New Generation Photographers” at the Hong Kong Photography Festival 2010. In 2011, he participated in “Count to 12”, a part of “The Road to 2012” project commissioned by and exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Yeung currently lives and works in London and Hong Kong.

HO Siu Nam, South

Born in 1984, Ho graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and obtained his High Diploma in 2006. Ho has been actively participating in various photography exhibitions since 2007. He established his studio in 2008 and is a member of photography organization The Photocrafters. In 2009, Ho was awarded the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Biennial Awards 2009 with his Into Light series; and in 2010, he was selected as one of the nominees for the Société Générale Chinese Art Awards 2010 with the same series. His work is collected by the Burger Collection, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Legislative Council of Hong Kong and the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts in Japan. Ho currently lives and works in Hong Kong.

So Hing Keung

Obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Photographic Design from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was awarded a photographic fellowship from the Asian Cultural Council for a research trip in the USA in 1995. He was also winner of Judges and Gold Awards in 1997 and 1999. He was granted a one-year Fellowship for Artistic Development by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council in 1998. He has held numerous one-person shows and group shows since the late eighties in Paris, Berlin, New York, Halifax and Hong Kong. Currently he teaches photography part time at the Department of Fine Arts, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Carol Kwok

Born and raised in the former Portuguese colony of Macau. She  emigrated to San Francisco, California at the age of 16, where she continued her  education and graduated in Fine Arts Photography.  
Upon graduation Carol worked in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New  York.  Carol briefly worked as a  portrait photographer in Beijing, China.   She then returned to Hong Kong  and started her own studio and worked with both international and local  advertising agencies. Her work  subsequently took her to London for some 8 years.   Carol recently returned to Hong Kong and China to work on her fine-art  photography.

KO Chi-keung, Alfred

 Alfred Ko studied  photography in the Banff School of Fine Arts where he was awarded Senior Diploma  in 1977. He founded the Fotocine School of Photography and the Photo Centre in  the 1980s, and took up teaching posts at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University,  the Chinese University of Hong Kong, First Institute of Art and Design as well
as Hong Kong Chingying Institute of Visual Arts over the  years.  As a president of the Hong Kong Institute of Professional  Photographers from 1989 to 1992, Ko is also its Founding and Honorable Member.  He was named Photographer of the Year by the Hong Kong Artists’ Guild in 1992.

Caroline Chiu

A leading art photographer based in Hong Kong, was born in 1967 and  raised in Hong Kong.
Chiu studied in the USA at Tufts University and New York University  as well as photography workshops at Rockport College in Maine. Her work has been  exhibited in Europe, Hong Kong, and America. Since 2001, she has been working on  a long-term project called The Chinese Wünderkammer which recreates the European precursor of the museum, the "wonder rooms" full of far flung curiosities from  around the world.

Tang Kwok Hin

Was born and raised in Hong Kong. He studied Fine Art at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and received his Master of Fine Arts in 2008. Although a recent graduate Hin’s work is fast gaining recognition within the Hong Kong art scene. Hin’s work comprises photographs of intricate imaginary landscapes using ready-made elements appropriated from printed and electronic media and product labels. Patrick Lee

An artist, MD and Co-Founder of Para-Site Art Space, born 1949 and is currently based in Hong Kong, has been one of the main influences in contemporary Hong Kong photographic art. Patrick has exhibited in Hong Kong on a regular basis and has had several exhibitions abroad since 1989. After his last series in 2000 (edited in the book Night Vigil), he decided to go back into the shadow and pursue his personal quest without witness. His major comeback took place in November 2004 at Art Statements Gallery with a solo exhibition titled 'Look!', where he exhibited his colour photography for the first time.

Mark Aldred

 Mark Aldred is an Australian photographer
based in Hong Kong. He is of mixed descent, English, Irish, Scots Jew, Geordie  and Australian Aborigine. He holds a BA with two majors, Behavioural Science and  Intellectual History from James Cook University plus a Graduate Diploma in  Education and an MA in Applied Linguistics from Flinders University. Michael Wolf’s work examines life in the layered urban landscape, addressing juxtapositions of public and private space, anonymity and individuality, history and modern development. In a diverse array of photographic projects, from street views appropriated from Google Earth, to portraits capturing the crush of the Tokyo Subway, and dizzying architectural landscapes, Wolf explores the density of city life.
